Wisteria Watercolor

This picture is of a wisteria tree. I tried to stray away from the cartoons and things I usually draw. So I painted one of my favorite trees.

Live, Die, Decay

This picture was painted in water color, showing a fallen angel. This represents the idea of immortality. If we will ever reach it, or if should reach it. Maybe an angel has to fall to make room in heaven for a new one.

Artist critique

Artist: Vitaly Alexius

In an apocalyptic setting, we have man and a skeleton. The man is wearing  a gas mask, which is reasonable because of the setting. His arms are open. The buildings behind him are crooked. There is a beam of sunlight coming down. In that beam is a skeleton. The skeleton has three red balloons tied to it and a baseball cap. The skeleton appears to be ascending.
I enjoy this piece because it has such amazing detail. It makes me feel calm, almost emotionless itself. The colors really have a feel of isolation and emptiness. If an emotion could be grasped from this piece it most definitely would be along the lines of something upsetting. And the background definitely fits that emotion as well.
I could have no idea what was running through this artist's head, I can only understand what runs through mine as I look at this image. I see something that represents coming to terms. Letting things go. When the world around you is crumbling down, you can't hold onto things. It is better to let it go and move on as a happier person.
I love this piece. I enjoy how the red balloons stand out and how the background is foggy. The apocalyptic setting is truly grasped.I see nothing wrong with this.

Style project

During the making of this piece I found that this is not what I wanted to make. From past experience, I've learned it will never be as good as the original. I'm not sure if I even like the original to begin with. So I changed my idea on a rather short notice.
The original was inspired based off of I relate to. However, though it means something to me, I'm unsure if anyone else can even begin to think of what it represents. My new idea is more along the lines of exploration, using a media I have always wanted to try, In the mean time, this piece is definitely a work in progress.

Dreamboard

I don't have much to look forward to in one year alone, I would have rather this piece been through the rest of my life. However, I have managed to think up my goals for 2017. I want to be genuinely happy and to get better grades. I just want to be a better person in general
